TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

The Broker - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

His background tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.

Platforms

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The speed is the area where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform run a much wider range.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that the setup is serious. That is what kind of broker this is.

Put together that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Regulation

Here is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should inform your decision.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it is your call.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you deposit.
